Happy New Year! As we begin this New Year, we would like to give Praise & Thanks to the Lord as we reflect on His work through the Rose of Sharon Life Center. We've included parts of a letter we received from one of the founding members and continuing supporters. We think their words speak best:

Dear Debbie,
   We read your newsletter each month and are so encouraged by what the Lord is doing through the Life Center. I am continually amazed by the Lord's faithfulness to His ministry. Looking back over the history of the center, from it's beginnings in Victorville through it's operation in Hesperia and then back to Victorville, it is clear that each obstacle was an opportunity in disguise; an opportunity to trust Him for direction and provision. The location and name may have changed at times, but the work was always His doing. I was so blessed to see Him at work in the lives of volunteers and those who came to the center for help. We do not always know the "end of the story" in the lives of clients who come to the center, but He keeps track of them for us. It is interesting how He lets us know some of the outcomes and how it encourages volunteers and supporters as well.
   This is His work and it is a privilege to be even a small part of what is accomplished. Even now the faces, stories and memories of some of those who came are inscribed on my heart permanently. Those encounters caused my faith to grow. It is a blessing, as you say, to be in a place where you can share Jesus' love for "the least of these".
   1 Chronicles 29:14b says "All that we have comes from God and we give it out of His hand." So it is that we send this gift, with joy, to you. May the Lord bless all of you and all who come to you.

The Rose of Sharon Life Center Board & Staff

68 ladies came to the Life Center and 17 moms received formula, diapers, clothing and other needed items. 52 ladies needed pregnancy tests and there were 31 positive results and 21 negative results. 8 ladies came to the Center considering abortion as their likely option. However, we were able to counsel and pray with most of them and see a change of heart and mind. 9 ladies prayed to receive Christ as their Lord & Savior. We have so much to be thankful for! Thank you!!!

As we start the New Year, we again want to thank you for your faithfulness. It was a busy month for the life center as well as for the staff and volunteers. Even over the holidays, as we came in to do some computer work we saw four girls, three of which received Christ. We had eleven salvations this month, what a blessing. We are starting a new class on Thursdays. This will be a discipling class for new Christians. Also, our parenting class teachers will be starting a Couples Bible Study this coming year. We just can't wait to see what God will be doing next, here at the center. Please pray for us in the New Year as God leads.
