Hot! That is the best way to describe the weather now and in a few more weeks it will officially be summer! We here at The Life Center are feeling the heat in a different way. With summer comes many more clients. Kids are out for summer vacation, and well, they find things to do.

   We have experienced a huge increase these last few weeks. We have seen as many as 11 girls in one day, which is a 50% increase! So, as you can see we are keeping quite busy around here. Also, this last month we had 16 salvations! And we have since started a discipleship program.

In the month of May

   97 ladies came to The Life Center during this month. Of those 16 moms/dads received formula, diapers, clothing, and other needed items; 81 ladies needed pregnancy tests, and there were 31 positive results and 50 negative results.

   One young lady came to The Life Center considering abortion as her likely option. Hopefully through the Lord's guidance and our prayers, this young lady had a change of heart.

VOLUNTEER

   Yes, we are still looking for volunteer conselors. As a matter of fact, we are in GREAT need folks. We realize that some of you just don't have the time, but that your hearts are with us. We also know that there are some of you, who although maybe you don't think that you are cut out for this, the Lord has been tugging at your heart. Please answer the call! Without conselors, there would be no Life Center for these girls to come to for help in keeping their babies. We know where they will turn to then.

   I know this sounds harsh, but it is reality. WE NEED YOU! We are a fun, loving group of women here, and we would welcome you with open arms. We were all beginners at one time, but with a little training and courage you will feel right at ease in helping these women. Helping a women / girl in need in a sometimes desperate situation, is such a wonderful feeling! When you gt to be right there, and watch as God changes a heart, it is amazing.

   So, once again we will ask that you prayerfully consider becoming a volunteer counselor. And please keep us in your prayers.

   We would like all of our supporters to get to know our volunteers here at The Life Center, and we would like to start with introducing you to Tawnee Martin.

   Tawnee has been with us for 17 months now and it has been a wonderful experience working with her. She has a very inviting personality, and such a love for the Lord.

   When Tawnee is with a client, they are able to relate to her as she sits in her chair Indian style and relaxed. The girls feel they can really open up and share.

   Tawnee gives up a day of work to volunteer for us and we know that God is going to bless her for that. Thank you Tawnee so much for all of your time that you give us here at the Life Center.{mosimage}

Baby Bottle Fundraiser

   We want to thank the following six churches for participating in our Baby Bottle Fundraiser; Apple Valley Baptist, Hesperia Community, Temple Baptist, Bible Baptist, First Christian of Hesperia and First Christian of Adelanto. We so appreciate your support. If there are any other churches out there that would like to help and pass out baby bottles to fill, please contact us and we will gladly bring them to you.

   To all of you who support this ministry, we than you so very much. God is truly in the midst of all we do here and we know that he will be blessing all of you for your prayers and financial help.

   Also, we send out our thanks to all of the family & friends of Kathleen De Nichols. Kathleen passed away recently, and in lieu of flowers it was requested that donations be sent to The Life Center. Our condolences go out to all who knew her, along with our sincere thanks.
